A few interesting notes from the draft:
· Most money spent on a player: $36 for Joe Mauer (Adam ) and Hanley Ramirez (Kevin)
· Best bargain: $1 for Geovany Soto (Matt). In 2008, this guy was a stud. Last year, he wasn’t. If he gives Matt even half of his 2008, this will be the bargain of the year (and an easy keeper).
· Possible overpay: Brandon Webb (Sam). The guy hardly pitched in 2008, and he’s not shown that he’s healthy yet this spring. Could he be an ace (like he was before 2009)? You bet, but if he’s not healthy, Sam is going to be digging for a starter on the waiver wire.

Getting ready for the draft
Spring training has begun. Position battles are beginning. And prospects are tantalizing fans of every team in the league. And almost as exciting is the inaugural draft for the Ultimate True Baseball fantasy league.
I would suggest that everyone check out the Fantasy Baseball Draft Kit at ESPN.com, or similar information from a different source.
A couple of reminders about our draft:

A couple of reminders about our draft:
- The online draft starts exactly at 8pm EST on Sunday, March 14.
- We are doing an auction style draft. You start with $260 to fill your 22 roster spots. Spend it wisely.
- This is a keeper league, with three of your current players flowing to your 2011 team. So draft with this in mind. You get to keep those three players at their 2010 draft value.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Play ball!
